Rob Astorino

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino is part of a new generation of American leaders who believe in facing our nation’s challenges head-on. Unsustainable spending, punishing taxes, and dangerously high debt levels threaten the economic foundation of this country and they must be dealt with before they grow worse.

Mr. Astorino, 45, was elected County Executive in November 2009 after running a campaign to streamline county government and bring tax relief to over-burdened homeowners and businesses. He was elected with almost 58 percent of the vote.

County Legislator Jim Maisano was raised in New Rochelle, after his family moved there in 1964 from Brooklyn. After serving in the United State Marine Corps and attending college and law school, Jim returned to his hometown of New Rochelle to practice law and enter into public service.

John G. Testa, a life-long resident of Peekskill, began his first term on the Westchester County Legislature in January 2010. Prior to his successful run for the District1 Legislative seat, he served 3 terms as Mayor of Peekskill from January 2002 until December 2007. Before becoming Mayor he also served a four-year term as Councilman.

Margaret Cunzio

Margaret Cunzio is currently serving her first term on the Board of Legislators, representing Mount Pleasant, North Castle, Pleasantville and parts of Briarcliff Manor, Sleepy Hollow and Greenburgh.

Cunzio is a lifelong Westchester County resident, having grown up in Armonk and residing in Thornwood for the past 16 years. She currently teaches at Iona College and Western Connecticut State University. She also is a fitness professional at Equinox in Armonk.

Legislator Gelfarb is serving in his first term on the Board of Legislators.  Prior to being elected to the Board, David served for four years as a Rye Town Councilman. During his tenure on the Council, Rye Town reduced overall expenditures and reduced taxes every single year, while increasing the Town’s fund balance.  As a Councilman, David also undertook the task of rewriting the Town’s outdated Personnel Manual and Employee Handbook.

Sheila was born and raised in Framingham, Massachusetts and moved to New York in 1983 to attend the College of New Rochelle. Upon graduation in 1987, she remained in New York and began a career in finance for the brokerage firm of EF Hutton. IN 1991, she married Tom Marcotte and eventually left Wall Street as a VP. for Lehman Brothers on the retail high-yield trading desk in 1994 to raise her own family.
